MPESB exam day: what to carry, what not to
Months of preparation, yet the reasons candidates are turned back at the gate are usually small. A checklist built from the rulebook instructions.
साथ ले जाएँCarry with you
- प्रवेश-पत्र: मंडल की वेबसाइट से डाउनलोड किया हुआ। यह ऑनलाइन आवेदन-पत्र क्रमांक से मिलता है, इसलिए वह क्रमांक संभालकर रखें — खो जाने की ज़िम्मेदारी अभ्यर्थी की है।
- एक मूल फ़ोटोयुक्त पहचान-पत्र: मतदाता पहचान-पत्र, पैन कार्ड, आधार कार्ड, ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस या पासपोर्ट में से कोई एक। UIDAI से सत्यापित (verify) होने पर ही ई-आधार मान्य है। फ़ोटोकॉपी मान्य नहीं।
- आधार की जानकारी: नियम-पुस्तिका में बताए मूल पहचान-पत्र के अलावा आधार कार्ड / ई-आधार की छायाप्रति, या आधार नंबर / VID की जानकारी साथ रखना अनिवार्य है।
- काला बॉल-पॉइंट पेन — नियम-पुस्तिका के अनुसार अनिवार्य।
- Admit card: downloaded from the Board’s website. You get it with your online application number, so keep that number safe — losing it is the candidate’s responsibility.
- One original photo ID: voter ID, PAN card, Aadhaar card, driving licence or passport. An e-Aadhaar counts only if verified with UIDAI. Photocopies are not accepted.
- Aadhaar details: besides the original ID, a copy of your Aadhaar / e-Aadhaar, or your Aadhaar number / VID, is mandatory.
- A black ball-point pen — mandatory per the rulebook.
केंद्र पर न ले जाएँDo not take into the centre
मोबाइल फ़ोन, कैलकुलेटर, लॉग टेबल, डिजिटल घड़ी, धूप का चश्मा (sunglasses), नकल पर्ची या कोई भी इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उपकरण पूरी तरह वर्जित है। परीक्षा कक्ष में इनमें से कुछ भी मिलने पर अनुचित साधन (UFM) का प्रकरण बन सकता है।
Mobile phones, calculators, log tables, digital watches, sunglasses, cheat slips or any electronic device are fully banned. Any of these found in the exam room can lead to an unfair-means (UFM) case.
समय का नियमThe timing rule
हर पाली के प्रवेश-पत्र पर रिपोर्टिंग का समय लिखा होता है — आमतौर पर परीक्षा शुरू होने से एक घंटे से भी ज़्यादा पहले। उदाहरण के लिए आरक्षक (चालक) 2026 की पहली पाली में रिपोर्टिंग सुबह 8 से 9 बजे, निर्देश पढ़ने का समय 9:50 से 10 बजे और परीक्षा 10 से 12 बजे है। नियम-पुस्तिका के अनुसार रिपोर्टिंग समय के बाद आने वाले अभ्यर्थियों को प्रवेश नहीं मिलेगा, और परीक्षा ख़त्म होने से पहले कक्ष छोड़ने की अनुमति भी नहीं है।
Each shift’s admit card states a reporting time — usually an hour or more before the exam starts. For example, in the first shift of Constable (Driver) 2026, reporting is 8–9 am, instruction reading 9:50–10 am, and the exam 10 am–12 noon. Per the rulebook, candidates arriving after the reporting time will not be admitted, and no one may leave the room before the exam ends.
सलाह: परीक्षा से एक दिन पहले केंद्र तक का रास्ता देख आएँ, ख़ासकर अगर केंद्र दूसरे शहर में है।
Tip: visit the route to your centre the day before, especially if it is in another city.
एक बात जो कई लोग नहीं जानतेOne thing many people don’t know
MPESB आवेदन-पत्र भरते समय कोई प्रमाण-पत्र नहीं जाँचता। इसलिए नियम-पुस्तिका साफ़ लिखती है कि ऑनलाइन परीक्षा में आपकी पात्रता पूर्णतः प्रावधिक है। असली जाँच बाद में नियुक्ति के समय विभाग करता है। अगर तब पता चले कि आप योग्य नहीं थे, तो परीक्षा में अच्छे अंकों के बावजूद चयन रद्द हो जाएगा। इसलिए आवेदन से पहले ही अपनी योग्यता, आयु और प्रमाण-पत्रों की तारीख़ें नियम-पुस्तिका से मिला लें।
MPESB does not check any certificate when you apply. That is why the rulebook states that your eligibility in the online exam is purely provisional. The real check happens later, when the department appoints. If it turns out then that you were not eligible, selection is cancelled despite good marks. So match your qualification, age and certificate dates against the rulebook before you apply.

अधिसूचना में दी गई "आयु गणना की तिथि" चुनें — उस दिन आपकी सटीक आयु दिखेगी। आयु-सीमा और छूट अधिसूचना से ही मिलाएँ।Pick the "age as on" date given in the notice — you will see your exact age on that day. Match it against the limits and relaxations in the notice.
