राजस्व विभाग में नायब तहसीलदार के कुछ पद सीधी भर्ती से नहीं, बल्कि विभाग के अपने कर्मचारियों की सीमित प्रतियोगी परीक्षा से भरे जाते हैं। यह व्यवस्था मध्यप्रदेश कनिष्ठ प्रशासनिक सेवा (भर्ती तथा सेवा शर्तें) नियम 2011 की अनुसूची-5 में है, और 2026 की परीक्षा MPESB करा रहा है। अगर आप पटवारी या राजस्व निरीक्षक हैं, तो यह पदोन्नति का सबसे सीधा रास्ता है।
Some Naib Tehsildar posts in the Revenue Department are filled not by direct recruitment but by a limited competitive exam for the department’s own staff. The scheme is in Schedule-5 of the MP Junior Administrative Service (Recruitment and Service Conditions) Rules 2011, and MPESB is running the 2026 exam. If you are a patwari or revenue inspector, this is the most direct route up.

कौन बैठ सकता हैWho can sit
- राजस्व मंडल, आयुक्त भू-अभिलेख, प्रमुख राजस्व आयुक्त, संभागायुक्त या कलेक्टर कार्यालय के लिपिक वर्ग, या पटवारी / राजस्व निरीक्षक संवर्ग के सदस्य।
- इन पदों पर कम से कम 5 वर्ष की स्थायी या स्थानापन्न सेवा।
- कला, विज्ञान (तकनीकी और इंजीनियरिंग सहित), वाणिज्य या कृषि में स्नातक।
- 01 जनवरी 2026 को आयु 55 वर्ष से अधिक नहीं।
- इस योजना में कोई भी व्यक्ति तीन से अधिक बार नहीं बैठ सकता — यानी हर प्रयास क़ीमती है।
- सारी योग्यताएँ आवेदन की अंतिम तिथि तक पूरी होनी चाहिए। फ़ॉर्म में एम्प्लॉयी कोड देना अनिवार्य है; विभागीय परीक्षा होने से मूल निवासी प्रमाण-पत्र नहीं माँगा जाता।
- Members of the clerical cadre of the Revenue Board, Commissioner Land Records, Principal Revenue Commissioner, Divisional Commissioner or Collector offices, or of the patwari / revenue inspector cadre.
- At least 5 years of substantive or officiating service in these posts.
- A bachelor’s degree in arts, science (including technical and engineering), commerce or agriculture.
- Age not above 55 on 01 January 2026.
- No one may sit under this scheme more than three times — every attempt counts.
- All qualifications must be met by the last date of application. Entering your employee code is mandatory; as a departmental exam, no domicile certificate is required.

तैयारी का क्रम: दूसरे प्रश्न-पत्र के 50 अंक भू-राजस्व संहिता, राजस्व पुस्तक परिपत्र और भू-अभिलेख नियमावली से हैं — ये वही दस्तावेज़ हैं जिनसे एक पटवारी या RI रोज़ काम करता है। अपने रोज़ के काम को धारा-संख्या से जोड़कर पढ़ें (जैसे नामांतरण, सीमांकन, बँटवारा किस धारा में हैं)। सेवा नियमों के 30 अंकों के लिए अपने वेतन, अवकाश और GPF के नियम पढ़ें — ये आपकी अपनी सेवा पुस्तिका से जुड़े हैं।
Order of preparation: 50 marks in Paper 2 come from the Land Revenue Code, the Revenue Book Circular and the Land Records Manual — the documents a patwari or RI works with every day. Tie your daily work to section numbers (which sections cover mutation, demarcation, partition). For the 30 marks on service rules, study the pay, leave and GPF rules — they map to your own service book.

नियम 2011 की अनुसूची-5 के अनुसार चयन के लिए परीक्षा में न्यूनतम 55% अंक ज़रूरी हैं; अनुसूचित जाति और अनुसूचित जनजाति के अभ्यर्थियों के लिए 40%। महिलाओं के लिए 35% पद क्षैतिज आरक्षण से रखे जाते हैं।
Under Schedule-5 of the 2011 Rules, selection needs at least 55% in the exam; 40% for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates. 35% of posts are reserved for women horizontally.
